Invergordon is located 35 kilometres north of Shepparton in the Hume region.  The school is set in a rural location and does not have any township linked to it.  Families at the school historically came from farming (dairy and horticultural) background, however this is changing due to the ongoing drought conditions.

Student enrolments are currently at 32 students, with a Principal, 2 full time teaching staff and 2 educational support officers (ESO's).

The school aims to provide students with a challenging learning environment that fosters social competency and community connectedness through offering our 'Big school programs in a Small School atmosphere' that will extend children to learn to their optimal potential in a caring and supportive educational environment.  As well as the mandated 2 hour  Literacy and  1 hour Numeracy blocks, Invergordon offered in 2009 Performing Arts, Science and Technology, P.E and in term 4 trialled cooking and gardening.  Art and Library are also provided through the MACC and MARC vans.

The school community has worked towards establishing the following values to develop a safe and inclusive school atmosphere.  Respect, Friendship, Responsibility, Learning and Safety are our values that are encouraged and rewarded.
